Grand Theft Auto V: Sony PS4, Microsoft Xbox One Players Can Become Movie Directors!

Grand Theft Auto V will finally let players on the PS4 and Xbox One get creative via the Rockstar Editor, which is coming soon

Grand Theft Auto V by Rockstar Games, a division of Take Two Interactive (NASDAQ:TTWO), may be one of the most cinematic games ever released. The characters, the settings and the city of Los Santos all seem to be part of some crime drama with shades of Michael Mann’s Heat.

If you want to step into the shoes of a director like Mann himself, you need to wait for the Rockster Editor coming to Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 4 or Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One, according to Gamespot. The powerful tool allows you to make your own Hollywood-style clips from your adventures in GTA V. Previously, the tool was only available to PC users.

The way this news was leaked is quite funny, according to Cinema Blend. Apparently, Rockstar Games held a contest to crown the best film created via the editor tool. When they revealed the winner via a blog post, they accidentally mentioned that the tool will be available forPS4 and Xbox One players in the upcoming update. The tool is pretty neat considering films can be created with the use of special effects, various filters, camera modes among other amazing features. The tool works in both the campaign and online mode.

This is pretty cool, as we will see a bunch of video clips uploaded by fans of their exploits in Los Santos with Michael, Franklin, Trevor or their own avatar. Rockstar is allowing fans to get more creative with the bestselling open-world action title and adds to the replay value. We most certainly can’t wait to try out this mode on our consoles!
