GTA V Rockstar Editor Coming to Xbox One and PS4 in September

Rockstar Games is eyeing on overhauling Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online one month from now with the Rockstar Editor.

Take-Two Interactive Software, the mother company that owns Rockstar Games, has mentioned that “GTA 5” has reached another milestone of having more than 54 million copies sold worldwide.

The development team is also encouraging gamers to continue to deliver details on the solid jobs that they have created so that they can be showcased to the entire Online community created around GTA V.

“This update will also bring with it some new features for the Rockstar Editor that will be available for all three platforms including PC, along with some exciting new gameplay for GTA Online Freemode that we’ll be sharing more about in the coming weeks”, Rockstar said on in its website.

Rumors from the start of 2015 suggested that GTA V was due to receive a major single player focused content drop, but the success of Online might mean that the developers are delaying it in order to make sure that they keep the players happy.

Ambient Audio and Sound Effects Library – Add ambient and atmospheric sound design with a library of audio tracks to help bring your scenes to life or add sound effects from a collection of Foley and other sfx. Aside from that, the game’s publisher indicated that any future Rockstar Editor contests will include submissions from PCs and consoles. In addition, Snapmatic Integration is also going to be included and with it, still frames can be sent directly to Snapmatic.

Director Mode Updates: An enlarged minimap with location blips to highlight preset locations, the power to freeze chosen time of day settings and the ability to spawn air and water vehicles. Finally, several new fonts are going to be arriving along with the September update and existing fonts are going to get a number of new styles.

When Will Rockstar Release GTA V Single Player DLC?

Rockstar is rather quiet about its future plans, and doesn’t detail them until it deems it necessary

GTA 5 has been out for almost two years now, and there is still no word on when Rockstar will release the first story DLC for the game.

Apart from a rumor, thanks to Franklin’s in-game voice actor Shawn Fonteno, there is no concrete evidence on when the add-on will release. Prior to GTA V’s release, the development team of Rockstar found themselves in a massive challenge to develop multiplayer heists.

The heists took Rockstar far more time than they’d have initially expected, but as usual, Rockstar did not compromise on quality with Online Heists.

The developer has a long tradition of releasing some of the finest DLC packs to date. Both GTA 4 add-ons were received with great response, and the same can be said about "Red Dead Redemption"’s DLC, Undead Nightmare.

The positive thing for fans right now is that Rockstar does not wait for events such as E3 and Gamescom to announce its plans. The main reason behind this is that the developer already has so much popularity that it does not need a dedicated event to announce its future plans.

It will also be exciting to see whether the single player DLC will hit previous gen consoles. Rockstar has already confirmed that DLC packs in the distant future may not appear on the last gen consoles. However, PS3 and Xbox 360 users may feel cheated given that the game was originally released for those systems.

Rockstar has done a good job maintaining its quality with GTA Online. However it has all rights to prolong a quality title like GTA 5. It could do this either by carrying forward the story of the three beloved protagonists, or bringing in new characters like it did with "Ballad of Gay Tony" and "The Lost Damned".

GTA fans will have to wait for the day when GTA 5 DLC is announced. Rockstar, unlike other developers, is rather quiet about its future plans, and doesn’t detail them until it deems it necessary.

New Console Features For GTA 5 Rockstar Editor Revealed

Rockstar will introduce several new features for GTA 5 Rockstar Editor when it finally comes to the Xbox One and PS4

Take Two Interactive Software Inc.’s (NASDAQ:TTWO) Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5’s Rockstar Editor will release on Microsoft Corporation’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One and Sony Corp.’s (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 4, when the next update for GTA rolls out. The update will consist of editing, gameplay capturing, and a directing suite for consoles, Snapmatic integration, new ambient audio options, new fonts, and much more.

According to Rockstar, the update will feature “Ambient Audio and Sound Effects Library,” which adds an atmospheric sound design; “Snapmatic Integration,” which allows the players to export any still frame from one point directly to Snapmatic, so they can select their preferred camera angle; “Director Mode Updates,” which give option to preset locations on an enlarged minimap during the day and night, enabling users to spawn air and water vehicles at their chosen spots; “Copy and Paste Marker Properties,” which let users copy paste audio settings from any one point in the marker to the other in a clip; “New Fonts” which offer more style options, such as changing the title and credits.

Rockstar first launched Rockstar Editor for PC back in April 2015. It allowed users to record, capture, edit, and even share the videos online. Meanwhile, the Director Mode helps to give a more polished and refined feel to the clips, allowing the players to stage sequences and use different character props at various locations in the game.

On August 10, Take Two announced that GTA 5 has sold over 54 million copies worldwide. Take Two's revenue increased by a whopping 142% to $366.40 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015. A major chunk of the revenue was generated by GTA Online, GTA V, WWE 2K15, and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

Grand Theft Auto V: Sony PS4, Microsoft Xbox One Players Can Become Movie Directors!

Grand Theft Auto V will finally let players on the PS4 and Xbox One get creative via the Rockstar Editor, which is coming soon

Grand Theft Auto V by Rockstar Games, a division of Take Two Interactive (NASDAQ:TTWO), may be one of the most cinematic games ever released. The characters, the settings and the city of Los Santos all seem to be part of some crime drama with shades of Michael Mann’s Heat.

If you want to step into the shoes of a director like Mann himself, you need to wait for the Rockster Editor coming to Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 4 or Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox One, according to Gamespot. The powerful tool allows you to make your own Hollywood-style clips from your adventures in GTA V. Previously, the tool was only available to PC users.

The way this news was leaked is quite funny, according to Cinema Blend. Apparently, Rockstar Games held a contest to crown the best film created via the editor tool. When they revealed the winner via a blog post, they accidentally mentioned that the tool will be available forPS4 and Xbox One players in the upcoming update. The tool is pretty neat considering films can be created with the use of special effects, various filters, camera modes among other amazing features. The tool works in both the campaign and online mode.

This is pretty cool, as we will see a bunch of video clips uploaded by fans of their exploits in Los Santos with Michael, Franklin, Trevor or their own avatar. Rockstar is allowing fans to get more creative with the bestselling open-world action title and adds to the replay value. We most certainly can’t wait to try out this mode on our consoles!

'GTA 6' Rumors: Release Date Scheduled for 2018, New US-Wide Map Under Development?

GTA

GTA 6 will be released in 2018 or 2020

Unarguably one of the best-selling video games of all time, rumors of a sequel have been following "Grand Theft Auto 5" for years.

After having shipped 54 million copies since its launch in September 2013, "Game Theft Auto V" has a place on the top games lists on Empire magazine and the "Good Game's "Top 100 Games" list, with fans looking forward to another sequel of the action adventure video game.

There have been rumors a new game from Rockstar Games may roll out on either 2018 or 2020. Based on speculations, a new, more comprehensive map is being developed for the sequel.

The game's fans have been clamoring for a US-wide map instead of a smaller city map, and developing something of that magnitude, complete with a storyline and top-notch graphics may take longer than expected.

Other rumors have also emerged pointing out that maps of all the other "GTA" games will be rolled into larger map to create the environment of "GTA 6," however, these rumors have yet to be confirmed, as is another one of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes voicing characters for the yet-to-be-announced sequel.

Rockstar is also reported to be working on a global feel for the next game, bringing in Los Santos, Liberty City, San Andreas, and Vice City for side mission purposes. What the central city for "GTA 6" will be is still up for speculation.

Similar to the popular simulation game, "Sims," characters in "GTA 6" may be able to get into relationships with one another and even get married. Adding the relationship feature could take away the general "bad-assery" feel the "GTA" franchise has been running on since the beginning however.

Fans of the game should also expect a wide collection of vehicles for the sequel, including cars from the 1950s and 1960s. There may also the inclusion of a main female character in "GTA 6," based on reports Rockstar founder, Dan Houser, has already given the go-signal for such a character.

GTA Online Player-Created Jobs: Inspired by The Epsilon Program

Truth seekers rejoice, the time is nigh to partake in player-created GTA Online Jobs inspired by the Epsilon Program. Don't be an antithesis, bookmark these Epsilon Program-themed Jobs on Social Club to experience them for yourself. Kifflom!

Cult of Cash by Reaper-5150 (PC)
"Cults love money, but so do you. Steal back the money from the Epsilon Program! KIFFLOM"

You and your team find yourselves battling it out in and around The Epsilon Program headquarters in the second Job created by the Leader of the Benvenuti Family on PC. You're up against not only the rival unit, but also droves of cultists protecting the apocalypse funds they've bilked over the years. There are tons of Health and Armor pickups within the gates and a respawn will land you on a motorcycle that will allow you to easily maneuver your way back into the Epsilon Building.

Gunshots ring out at the Epsilon Headquarters in Cult Of Cash.

* BLOOD N' FIRE * by GerardDepardieux (PS3 & PS4)
"Violent fights on top of Mount Chiliad. Take a drink. Enjoy the view. KIFFLOM"

This Team Deathmatch fittingly takes place at the location of the first Epsilon Tract. Set to night with forced Molotovs as your starting weapon, put the flame to your enemies as you gather the Baseball Bats, Crowbars and Nightsticks that have been scattered around to finish off your charred foes.

Altruist Camp Offensive by Griefballer99 (Xbox 360 & Xbox One)
"The cultists must defend themselves against the Cult Stoppers. The cultists have a wide range of weapons but no transport, and the Cult Stoppers are armed with Military vehicles but only a Combat MG."

As Leader of The Shrekist Church, a Crew whose followers dedicate their lives to the Ogrelord Shrek, Griefballer99 may know a thing or two about cults. In this LTS, the Cult Stoppers have shifted their focus from the Epsilon Program to target the Altruists. Mentioned in the Job's description, one team will have a variety of transport options while the other will have heavy artillery. If you’ve spawned at the Paleto Forest Sawmill, your best bet is to grab up the Insurgent-Pickup fitted with its powerful .50 caliber machine gun. If your home base is the Altruist Camp, have a teammate head up to the guard tower where there is a strategically placed RPG to take out the opposing team vehicles.

Going With The Downflow by DannBoeing (PC)
"Let go. Let the flow wash over you. Let it wash away all your troubles. Breathe. Leave the city behind you. Let Kraff take the wheel. Envelope yourself in his warm embrace. Enter the 10th Paradigm. Listen to the words of the wind and the trees. Only the descendants of Kraff can hear them. Let the flow be your guide. Hydroplane yourself to enlightenment. A new plane of existence. Be one with Kraff. Kifflom Brother! And may infinite peace and wisdom be yours!"

The Leader of the Don’t Judge Me Monkey Crew has created 26 Races so far on PC. This particular Epsilon-inspired one spans Tongva Hills, Tongva Valley and Banham Canyon. To make for a more challenging Race, use the default laps and weather settings so you can "hydroplane yourself to enlightenment".

Supercars hydroplane round a tight turn in Going With The Downflow.

Kifflom! by Kingglo_the_Pro (PS3 & PS4)
"The antitheses attacked our Epsilon Center. It's time to fight for Kraff, brother-brother! Kifflom!"

This Deathmatch in the heart of The Epsilon Program Headquarters has Spawn Points spread out evenly throughout the map, so while you won’t know where you’ll end up you can rest assured that you’ll land not too far from a much needed Armor or ammo refill. Head for higher ground and make use of the Sniper Rifles strategically placed around the roof, or nab some Sticky Bombs and attach them where your enemies least expect it.

San Chianksi Race by chocolate83 (Xbox 360 & Xbox One)
"Venez arpenter ces vertigineuses montagnes reputés selon Fabien Larouche et Cris Formage pour y dégager un karma très bienveillant. Il est indéniable de dire que vous y trouverez la paix éternelle.....littéralement." (Translation: “Stride across these breathtakingly high mountains, famous for emitting a benevolent karma, according to Fabien Larouche and Cris Formage. There is no doubt that you will find... eternal peace there.“)

LE Clan Pasta’s own chocolate83 has created this challenging Bike Race starting at the San Chianski Mountain Range, winding through Mount Gordo and finishing in the industrial community of Grapeseed. Don’t go too fast as you make your way on the spines of the mountain ranges, one wrong move and you will find yourself face first in a mound of dirt. Since a majority of this race is off-road, hop on a custom Sanchez for your best shot at "eternal peace".

And make sure to tune in this Friday, August 28th at 5pm ET (that’s 10pm BST and 2pm Pacific) to watch The Rockstar Broadcast Team playing these Jobs live with invited creators and other special guests – at youtube.com/rockstargames and twitch.tv/rockstargames. Make sure to subscribe and follow Rockstar in both places to get automatically notified when the livestream begins.
